Skagway, Alaska

Skagway was founded in 1897, during the Klondike Goldrush. It’s knows as the place where the gold diggers went on land, for its criminals and as the start of the White Pass & Yukon Route. Now it’s mostly visited by tourists coming by cruise ship.  Skagway also focusses completely on that.  It’s the third cruise ship port in Alaska having only about 800 people living there, but with 900 000 tourists visiting per season.
