Hilo, Hawaii

Hilo is on the island Hawaii (the same name as the whole state), the biggest island (also called ‘the Big Island’). Like the whole of Hawaii it’s a volcanic island. The stad lies in between two big volcanos, Mauna Kena and Mauna Loa. The island is also known for its macademia nuts. Hilo also is one of the wettest places in the world with 275 rain days a year.
